Well this isn’t exactly how the Bumbo Play Seat should be used, but Mr. D wanted the box – so we gave it to him. He giggled under the box, didn’t seem to mind much. I don’t recommend using your play seat in this fashion. The Bumbo Play Seat is great for infants that are learning to sit upright.
The seat in the above picture looks like a hard plastic, but it’s not. The seat is made of a single piece of latex-free, low-density and lightweight foam. No cracks or crevices to pinch baby. In the picture above you can see where the tray attaches to the seat, safely away from baby’s legs.
My niece uses the Bumbo Play Seat in so many ways I can’t possibly name them all, but she does transport the seat with the tray on many short (and long) trips so that Mr. D has a cozy place to eat and play when they are out and about. It really is that light-weight.
