I’ve been attracted to the Himalayan Salt Lamps for some time. I love the soft glow and the rustic look, but what I didn’t know is that they can benefit you as well. These salt lamps are made of natural Himalayan crystal salt, mined from underground salt mines in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains.

The Himalayan Salt Lamps come mounted on a wooden base that matches well with the lamp. Crystal salt is hundreds of millions years old, and as a result, has special properties and high mineral content. Heat from the lamps bulb causes the salt to release negative ions. Negative ions bond with the positive ions (pollutants), and neutralizes them. Meaning the salt lamp helps to cleanse the air around you via natural ionization.
I love my salt lamp, we have been keeping it on overnight too, because it makes the perfect night light.
