We recently took a trip to our local Payless Shoe Source to fit Ian and Quinn for boots. They were extremely nice measuring their feet and found that Quinn takes a half a size bigger on one foot. That shocked me. After measuring the boys we took the time to search the aisles and check out boots and shoes for the whole family.
Then we came home and sat by the computer and let each boy pick out a pair of boots. New boots are a special thing here and I’m crossing my fingers that the boys don’t outgrow them very fast. Quinn was fitted with a size 7 pair of Snow Boarding Boots. Some of you may not be familiar with snowboarding but here it’s big. Our kids love riding down the hills and you need just the right pair of boots to maneuver the board and keep your feet warm.
Quinn picked the Airwalk Men’s Summit III Snowboard Boot. These fully loaded boots feature water resistant uppers, with full laces and an adjustable strap for a secure fit. Their thick, cushiony fleece lining with Thermolite insulation keeps his feet warm, in temperatures as low as -20 degree Fahrenheit, and rugged athletic outsole.
Ian was fitted with a pair of Men’s Apex Leather Waterproof Boots. These tough Rugged Outback boots are built to weather any storm with features such as a quality leather and waterproof rubber upper, sturdy lace-up construction, an elastic draw-string collar and thick Thermolite lining to keep out the elements. These special features are designed to keep feet warm in as low as -30 degree temperatures.
The first thing he said was “Wow, mom, I think these are going to be perfect. They’re cushiony and comfortable.” Last night he tried them out on the sledding hill and his feet stayed warm and dry.
I like Payless because they carry a quality product for an affordable price. I want to thank them very much for these boots and keeping my sons feet warm and dry this year.
