It’s Christmas Giveaway Event

Are the Friday’s after Thanksgiving special at your house? Here they are a fun family tradition. We start by setting up Gingerbread Houses with frosting (gluing them together). As they’re setting up up we get out our Christmas Tree and decorations and start decorating as a family. We rotate years with our Christmas Tree, one year will be all homemade ornaments, chains, and fun things from the kids childhood and the next year it’s all Hallmark Ornaments that my husband’s mother has been collecting for us for years.
Then we grab some cocoa and start decorating the Gingerbread Houses, Trains, Trees, and other scenes we have created. Left over Halloween candy comes in handy here. Tootsie Rolls are logs, Tootsie Pops and suckers become lamp posts, Neccos are roof shingles, and all hard candies are put to good use in the back of the train as gifts.
This year we’re looking forward to the same tradition. After the decorating is done it’s time to curl up to some great new movies we’ve been meaning to see. It’s a tradition we all love and look forward to and brings us together as a family.
