I am always up to trying new foods. They boys on the other hand? Not so much. I received all natural al fresco, meats for review and the guys turned their noses up at it. Fortunately for the whole family I didn’t have time to go grocery shopping and we had al fresco on hand! This is their NEW favorite meat and “Mom, will you get more of the al fresco meatballs when you go to the store?”
For review we received:
Apple Maple Link with pure Vermont maple syrup. These delicious breakfast sausages are made with lean, skinless chicken meat, 70% less fat than pork sausage, 40% less sodium than pork sausage, are gluten and pork free. The Maple Link sausages were a treat when we had breakfast for dinner. These compliment pancakes deliciously.
The Roasted Pepper & Asiago with mesquite smoke is so good tossed with rice and vegetables. This Chicken Sausage (Brat Style) is fully cooked in minutes. I cut and cooked the sausages into bite sized pieces and then tossed with rice, cooked veggies (asparagus, mushrooms, and broccoli) and topped with some jack cheese for a hearty one pot meal that fed the whole family.
But I saved our favorite for last……Tomato & Basil with Asiago & Mozzarella Cheese Meatballs. I cannot tell you how the boys have begged to have this on a regular basis. So here is my recipe….
- 1 8 oz pkg thin spaghetti noodles cooked
- 1 package of all natural afresco Tomato & Basil Chicken Meatballs
- 1 8 oz package of sliced raw mushrooms
- 3 cloves of garlic diced
- 1 pkg of plum tomatoes slice in 1/2
- 1/4 cup parmesean cheese
- 2 TB of Olive Oil
Cook noodles according to package. Put meatballs in a skillet with 1/2 cup of water and cook until well heated through. Add Olive Oil, garlic, and mushrooms, cook on low/medium heat for about 5 minutes. Pour mixture over noodles and add tomatoes & parmesean cheese tossing thoroughly.
When I say my family loved this meal it’s an understatement and al fresco is now on the monthly menu calendar.
I really like their products. The meatballs and the Roasted Pepper & Asiago sausage sounds really good with some pasta.
Love to try this looks good
