Recipe of the Day~ Apricot Baked Ham


Apricot Baked Ham

1/2 ea Fully cooked ham with bone
20 ea Whole garlic cloves
1/2 c Apricot preserves
3 tb Dry mustard
1/2 c Packed light brown sugar


Score the surface of the ham with shallow diamond-shaped cuts. Insert cloves in cuts.Combine preserves and mustard; spread over ham. Pat brown sugar over apricot mixture.

Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes per pound or until ham is heated through and thermometer reads 140 degrees

    I’ve got to try this! It sounds delicious. I’ve never thought of using apricots with ham. I bet it brings a special sweetness to it that can’t be compared.

    This does sound great and I’ll bet with all those garlic cloves, it has an amazing flavor as well. We use a lot of garlic here

    I bought 3 hams on sale at Easter and froze two. I think I’ll try this instead of the same old boring pineapple rings. It sounds amazing, and I’d love a little different flavor.

    I certainly would love to try this recipe versus the pineapple
    and brown sugar I usually make.I so totally love apricots.The recipe is something I am going to try soon.

    it’s so good~ I used Polaner Sugar Free Apricot Preserves and it was perfect~
