Zesty Baked Italian Chicken

4 to 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts

2  (28 oz) cans tomato sauce

2  (28 oz)  cans chopped tomatoes

2 large vidalia onions, chopped into large 2×2 inch pieces

2 large green peppers, chopped into large 2×2 inche pieces

2 tablespoons dried sage

2 tablespoons dried marjoram

2 tablespoons dried thyme

2 tablespoons dried oregano

2 tablespoons dried sweet basil

1 tablespoon granulated garlic

 

Combine the sauce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers and spices in a large bowl, stir to mix well.  Place the chicken in the pan, pour the mixed sauce over the chicken, cover, and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.  Remove the cover and cook for 30 more minutes.  The extra 30 minutes makes the sauce really thick.
