These are great for Christmas Morning Breakfast with grits!
SAUSAGE BALLS
- 3 cups baking mix (like Bisquick or Jiffy)
- 1 lb. HOT pork sausage in the roll
- 16 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder (optional)
In a very large bowl mix all ingredients using your clean hands, if it is too dry to roll into balls add a tsp. of milk at a time until it sticks together nicely~ I usually do not have to add any milk.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees~ Line a couple of cookie sheets with parchment paper or HD aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray~
Roll mixture into walnut sized balls~ Place on sheets and bake for 15-20 minutes, until they are sizzling and slightly browned. Makes a bunch and they freeze well after cooking and cooling.
Sausage balls are good at any time of the dau 🙂
true~ But my favorite way is breakfast or dinner with grits~
I have never thought about doing this. I would make them to see how good they are.
Linda, take my word for it~ They are delicious!
