I remember when I went to school half days and would get off the bus to my mom warming Chef Boyardee for me. I loved it and in a part of the country where it’s almost always cold, warm food in your tummy is comfort food. On nights that mom was super busy we had Banquet frozen dinners. We loved that we could all pick our own flavors and usually those are nights she let us eat in front of the tv, making it a special night. Today, in my own it’s much the same. I keep Chef Boyardee and Banquet frozen dinners on hand for my older son who rushes off to work before dinner is ready, and for nights when we’re in a hurry or eating informally.
It’s a busy time of year and I’m making it easy in the kitchen with Banquet dinners and pot pies and Chef Boyardee.
