I received no compensation for this post. I’m posting because I believe in my state and it’s beauty. We have visited the Porcupine Mountains and I agree it’s one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Exploring the State of Michigan is important to myself and my family because we live here and know first had the beauty Michigan holds. My boys have hike the Porcupine Mountains and spent days away from civilization learning life skills in the state park. The beauty our state holds is second to none and state park we will visit over and over.
When exploring a state park you’re building family members that will last a life time and creating healthy exercise habits that will stick with them.

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park is one of the few remaining large wilderness areas in the Midwest. With 60,000 acres of towering virgin timber, secluded lakes, and miles of wild rivers and streams, a visit to the “Porkies” is a trip to remember. Visitors can enjoy camping on the shores of Lake Superior, 90 miles of hiking trails, kayak rentals, mountain biking and skiing in the winter.
