Our home is a buzz with preperations for the holidays, and I’m sure you know the feeling right now. We are currently readying ourselves for a few holiday get-togethers with friends and family and we want share a delicious adult holiday drink at the parties.
This year we’re using Diplomation Mantuano Rum. This blended rum is aged for up to eight years in white oak casks, which were previously served to age burbons and malt-whiskey. This delcious rum combines column, batch kettle and post still distillates elaborated from sugar cane molasses and honeys.

Christmas Cider
2 oz Diplomático Mantuano
6 oz Hot Apple Juice
1 oz Lemon Juice
2 Cinnamon Sticks, plus more for garnish
Boil apple juice with a few cinnamon sticks, let cool until warm. Combine all ingredients in a mug. Stir with cinnamon stick.
Ginger Diplo
50 ml Mantuano
150 ml ginger ale
Dash of cocoa bitters (optional)
Cranberries, for garnish
Rosemary, for garnish
Add ice to a glass. Add rum and top off with ginger ale to taste. You can add a dash of cocoa bitters for more contrast. Stir gently with bar spoon. Garnish with cranberries and rosemary.
